Annette Guthrie of Harkers Island, North Carolina recently wrote an op-ed defending contraception from a Christian faith perspective.
"I am a woman of faith, a Christian, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I serve a mission at the local refugee center, helping families. I have three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. I’m a lifelong registered Republican and believe people should be cared for and not harmed by government decisions.
As a woman of faith and a strong advocate for the well-being of individuals and families, I firmly believe the right to use contraception must be protected."
